WELCOME TO MY MUSICAL JOURNEY

Hi! I’m Punit Garg

I am a Mumbai-based guitar player and music composer (Khoj) for the last 15 years, with 3 original music albums and many singles to my credit, totaling around 20 songs currently (available on Spotify and other DSPs). 

I have been teaching guitar for the last 5 years (since 2017) and I specialize in teaching Indian film music, pop, rock, blues, bluegrass, and jazz, and my main areas of interest are practical music theory and improvisation. I currently have over 15000 subscribers on my YouTube channel (Khoj the Band), where I have posted over 200 videos and received praise for my accuracy and in-depth teaching. 

I have been teaching one-on-one students for the last 3 years, having taught around 200 students and also released 3 online courses (Practical Music Theory, Fluid Pentatonic Soloing, and How to Figure Out Songs by Ear) that have been purchased by around 500 students. I also have a lot of content planned for courses, which I am currently working on. Being a self-taught guitarist and a professional, I know exactly where students often struggle and need the guidance of a knowledgeable but flexible teacher who will cater to their specific needs. My goal is to provide students with confidence and independence on the instrument."
